How will I receive my plants after I’ve placed my order?


Botanical Jewels is offering local pickup in Guelph and delivery through Plantrunz only at this time. If you select 'Local Pickup' at check out we will send you a confirmation email regarding pickup address and times available. All scheduled pick ups must be confirmed at least 48hrs ahead to ensure your plants are pulled and ready for you. Shipping will resume in spring 2021.

When can I pickup my plants/ can I combine orders?

Our scheduled pickup days are Tuesdays and Thursdays. You will receive a second email after your purchase confirmation email from us to schedule your pick up date and time. Please confirm your pick up time 48hrs ahead of your selected time slot. We are happy to accommodate orders that are placed at a later date to be combined with previously purchased orders that are awaiting pick up. Combination orders however will need to be rescheduled for pick up at a later date to ensure we can gather the newly ordered plants with your previous order. If you would like to combine an order please send us an email at botanicaljewels.juliana@gmail.com with your order numbers and the name on the orders you wish to combine. 

Plantrunz orders must be placed no later then 4pm on Mondays for pick up by Plantrunz the following Tuesday. Any orders placed after this time will be scheduled for pickup the following week. To combine an order that is meant for Plantrunz delivery please email botanicaljewels.juliana@gmail.com with your order numbers and the name on the orders you wish to combine. Any combination orders placed after 4pm on Wednesdays will be rescheduled for Plantrunz pickup to the following week.   

 

Why is there sawdust on my plant?


We use beneficial insects to promote a healthy and sustainable environment for our plants.  This is a passive treatment instead of using harsh chemicals which is damaging to the environment. The insects that we use are not damaging to any plants and are predatory to pest insects only. They will not spread or infest your already owned plants. They will not spread to or harm your pets.


How are you making changes to be more sustainable?


At Botanical Jewels, we prioritize sustainability in our daily operations and plans for the future.  We use rainwater to water our plants and recycle pots to divert waste.  We are also making plans to use solar power in our greenhouses.


I have questions about plant care.  Where can I go?


We have plant care guides accessible through our main menu that cover a variety of topics related to caring for your plant. We will be expanding on these plant care guides in blog posts and well as  - sign up for our email Newsletter to stay updated on new information releases! How do I book a free 30 minute consultation? Can I book more than one?


Please go to our ‘Consultation’ page located in our main menu bar at the top of our website. One free consultation is available per business or household. We ask that you do not book multiple times to allow for others to have equal access to this service.


How will my plants arrive?


Your order will arrive as you see online, we do not unpot our plants before delivery. In the winter months, your plants will have extra insulation and recycled wrapping around them in order to ensure their safety from the cold. As soon as you receive your plants and they are in your home, unwrap them. Avoid leaving your plants wrapped after you receive them to ensure they are getting enough air flow and so you can assess watering needs.

 

Returns & Replacement

Plants are perishable products and for this reason we will working with customers on a case by case basis if they have concerns about your plants after they are in your possession.
